eCheena

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

This policy applies to the eCheena website at app.echeena.com and the eCheena mobile app. eCheena provides Vedic birth charts, astrology readings, Kundali matching, and chart-related chat. For privacy questions, contact nabin@echeena.com.

1. Google account data and sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, eCheena requests basic sign-in access (openid, email, and profile). Google provides your account identifier, name, email address, email verification status, and profile picture when available. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files, contacts, or calendars.

We use this information to verify your identity, create or find your eCheena account, display your profile, and maintain a secure sign-in session. Your name and email are stored in our account database. Profile information and authentication tokens may also be held in the website session or mobile app storage to keep you signed in. Tokens are used for authentication, not to read unrelated Google services.

Google account data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. We do not use it for advertising or to train generalized AI models. Hosting and database providers process account data as needed to run eCheena. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security threats, or protect legal rights.

eCheena's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

2. Other information we collect

  • Email accounts: names, email addresses, and a hashed password if you register with email and password instead of Google.
  • Birth details and reports: names, dates, times, birthplaces, selected locations or coordinates, language, and generated chart and reading information you submit or save, including matching inputs.
  • Chat and service usage: questions, relevant conversation context, chart data, feedback, request identifiers, response status, and usage counters used to provide answers, diagnose errors, and apply daily question limits.
  • Support: your contact details and the contents of feedback, complaints, or messages you send us.
  • Purchases: account and order identifiers, payment status, and access entitlement when you use paid features.
  • Early access: your email, signup source, and signup consent when you explicitly join our early-access and launch-discount email list.
  • Technical information: request and error logs, which may include IP address, browser or device information, and timestamps processed by our hosting services.

3. How we use information

We use submitted information to calculate and save charts, generate readings, answer questions, restore reports, remember language preferences, secure accounts, enforce usage limits, handle purchases, and respond to support requests. Early-access emails are used for the launch updates you requested; you can ask to leave the list at any time.

Birth details are entered by you and are not obtained from Google sign-in. Only submit another person's details if you have permission. Avoid including sensitive information that is not needed for a reading.

4. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information or share it with advertisers. Depending on the features you use, providers process information as follows:

  • Google: handles Google sign-in and token verification when you choose that sign-in option.
  • Google Gemini: receives chart information, your question, and relevant conversation or reading context to generate or rephrase AI-assisted answers. This is separate from Google sign-in. Any personal information you include in those inputs may be processed by Google under the applicable Gemini service terms and privacy policies.
  • Hosting and storage: Vercel and our MongoDB database services process account records, saved reports, chat context, and operational logs to host and operate eCheena.
  • Voice: when you request spoken readings, text may be sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech or Microsoft's speech service, depending on the feature. Device voice-input features may use the device's speech provider under its own permissions and policies.
  • Payments: Lemon Squeezy processes checkout and payment information when you purchase through our web checkout. eCheena receives order and entitlement information, not your full payment-card details.

Providers may process information outside your country. Their own privacy policies and service terms also govern their processing. Information may additionally be disclosed to meet legal obligations or address abuse and security incidents.

5. Cookies, storage, and security

The website uses session cookies and browser storage for sign-in, preferences, birth details, and reports. The mobile app stores session information, preferences, and cached reports on your device so you can return to them. Clearing browser or app data removes local copies but does not automatically delete records stored on our servers.

We use HTTPS for data sent to our service and hashed passwords for email-password accounts. No internet service or device storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect access to your account and device.

6. Data retention

Account information and saved reports are retained to provide your account and returning-user features until you request deletion or they are no longer needed. Short-lived chat context expires separately; usage counters, diagnostic records, support messages, and purchase records may be retained as needed for service operation, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Backups and service-provider copies may persist for their applicable retention periods.

7. Your choices, access, and deletion

To request access, correction, account deletion, deletion of associated birth details and reports, or removal from early-access emails, write to nabin@echeena.com from your account email and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes; we will explain any applicable limits when responding.

You can revoke eCheena's Google access at any time in your Google Account connections settings. Revoking access stops future Google authorization but does not by itself delete an existing eCheena account or saved reports; contact us to request their deletion. You may sign out and clear local app or browser storage to remove locally cached information.

8. Changes and contact

We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the date above. For privacy questions or help, email nabin@echeena.com or visit our support page.
